We have to pay the piper for all the sun & fresh air!

Days in the lab can be fun

After many days in the sun gather data and samples, we did have to spend some time in the lab preparing and analyzing the data. The two Mikes and Kyle did the disections and counting of the fish scales. Did you know you could age a fish like you age a tree? Yep! Count the rings on their scales. How clever we humans are at figuring things like that out!

I spent the day with my intern--Stephanie--cleaning and fixing stuff in the culture room. Our daphnia are happy! Now if I could just have a bit of time to deal with them this week. Yeah! Research! I LOVE IT! (Could I be any more sarcastic? I am pointing that out for those of you that might not be able to catch that I am joking!) More to come next week. YEAH!
