Shilling for a non-profit, a good one!

Some of the advertisements I have put on my blog have been for bad products--like that Cranenergy Icky Cruddy Junk--and some have been purely for my gain--like getting points on Mypoints--but this time, it is for a good cause and only a bit for my gain. If don't know, I volunteer every so often at the Red River Theatres in downtown Concord. It is a movie theater that is supported by the community and shows first run independent and foreign films in the two big theaters. Sometimes, in the smaller theater, they play old movies. I volunteer a couple of times a month and get a free ticket each time. Unfortunately they put my name on the ticket so I can't give them away.

BUT, if you want a free ticket, sign up for their newsletter on the top right of the home page. Go ahead, what will it hurt? All that will happen is you will get some email. Then, if you put in my name as the way you heard about Red River, I will get a free ticket. Okay, so I only get 1 free ticket after 7 people sign up, but if you are the first of those 7 people to go with me to a movie, then I will give you that free ticket. SO, you have a 1 in 7 chance of seeing a movie for free WITH ME! What could be more exciting? Nothing! DO IT!
