Since the electrical wires hang low, the driver had to dump the dirt right in front of the door. Now it is about half gone.  Of course, it is going to rain this afternoon so we have 2 1/2 hours to make this disappear.  The plants are loving it though. The strangest part was that we didn't see any trees down until we got to the base of the old ski tow line.  Then a TON of trees were blown over.  It looked like toothpicks in a row.  Very weird. Technically it is a Polygonia comma, but I am not that technical.  It has a grey comma shape on the underside of its wing, hence the name. We made a raised bed with stone.  It was a bit more pricey than cedar, but it is very permanent.  The raspberries were half price at Lowe's.  We sure do get a lot of good stuff there.What is there? Once it was white and the second time, seen here, it was this pretty yellow.  I couldn't believe how big the flower was compared to the plant.  HUGE!  Now I am reading that most cacti are not self pollinators.  I wonder if this one needed a bat?   Either way, the flower was not pollinated and we didn't get any cactus seeds.
