Here is a flash from last summer. This is the loon on Crooked Mountain Pond in the middle of the blueberry patches of eastern Maine. The stars were aligned in the right way this day. I happened to bring my camera out with me when we went sampling. I happened to have it around my neck just when this loon surfaced near us. Then I just happened to click the moment this loon flexed its wings. Talk about right place, right time!
Will I get this lucky again? We shall see. But then again, I can't imagine that there will be many moments like this at Hampton Beach.
with a title like "this loon is having a great time!" I expected to see Brady doing an irish jig in a tophat or something.
