We got the keys this morning and one load of stuff is now in our new apartment. Brady and I are moving to Lee, NH. It is the same distance from UNH as our current place and about 20 minutes closer to Concord. It is a bit smaller, but a lot cheaper! You gotta do what you gotta do, right?
My old digital camera will be delivered tomorrow so I will have new pictures of the new place. It is SO clean right now. Not that it will be for long. But we will be living here! It is a great location--close to Market Basket, Ace Hardware, Brooks' Pharmacy, and the really bad video store. What more could you want?
In the first load, we took over 3 boxes, a video cabinet and our spice rack. Just now I loaded the van with 6 large boxes, coffee table, and all of our board games. AND STILL there is more stuff. Where did we get all this STUFF? Oh, yeah, wedding presents, birthday presents, christmas presents--THANK YOU EVERYONE! Now I think everyone should just take their clothes with them when they move. Just think how fun it would be to discover what other people thought was important!
The other great thing about moving is watching our cats go wacko. Rocky is sniffing every part of the room. And since the video cabinet has moved, he has been sniffing the wall where it had been. FREAK! I can't wait until they move the 10 miles or so from here to there. I left the kitty tranquilizers out of the boxes. That will be needed.
Want to help us move? Stop by and take a box to our new place! Check out my own personal Freecycle box. You never know what you could use of our stuff I no longer want! I On Sunday night I will make a smorgasbord of all the food left in the cabinets and fridge. Why move it when you can eat it, right?
And so begins the Great Move of 2005. The adventure continues!
